Thursdays on Zoom 7:15PM
A circle for spiritual conversation, laughter, and honest sharing.
We meet from September through May, and every Thursday during Lent.
Self-directed and inclusive, we choose our topics—sometimes a book, often a question, always a welcome.
Wherever you are on the path, you belong here.
Friends on the Journey will meet every Thursday in Lent!
Soup at 5:30 PM and Book Discussion at 6 PM
February 19, 26, March 5, 12, 19, and 26
During Lent, Friends on the Journey will discuss the book "Grounded, Finding God in the World" by Diana Butler Bass. Ms. Bass is a historian of Christianity and an advocate for progressive Christianity. In Grounded, she “…takes us from a theologically sound understanding of the sacred nature of the natural world to a mystical understanding of tending that world” (Clarion Journal review). Chapter titles include Dirt, Water, Sky, and Roots.
In addition, this year, Friends will enjoy starting our conversations with soup and fellowship beginning at 5:30 pm. We have a sign-up list for volunteers to bring soup and/or bread for each of the weeks. Link below! Discussion of the Lenten book will begin at 6 pm and run to 7:30 pm.
Soup and meetings will be in the CLS Barn (Walti Room) with a Zoom option.
All paths and questions are honored. You are welcome to join us!
